MEET OUR STAFF
Dr. Michele Maouad
Dermatologist
Dr. Michele Maouad is a highly skilled and experienced American board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon. She completed medical school at West Virginia University and dermatology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Maouad established her private practice, the Dermatology Center for Skin Health, PLLC, in 2005.
Dr. Maouad is an advocate for her patients and insures they receive the best dermatologic care. She continually updates her knowledge and skills at national medical conferences to ensure her patients receive only the most current and advanced care.
Dr. Rola Gharib
Dermatologist
Dr. Rola Gharib joined the Dermatology Center for Skin Health, PLLC in November of 2011. She completed medical school at West Virginia University and dermatology residency at West Virginia University hospitals. Dr. Gharib is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Kathryn Semans
PA-C
Katie was born and raised in Uniontown, PA. She attended WVU for her undergraduate studies where she completed a bachelor’s in Exercise Physiology. After working in physical therapy for a year, she then completed her Master’s training in Physician Assistant studies at the University of Mount Union in Alliance, OH. She began practicing in Gastroenterology / Hepatology for nearly 10 years in her home town. Dermatology has always been a keen interest for Katie, so she finally pursued her dream job. She is excited to be a part of the Dermatology Center and eager to treat patients and their skin concerns. Outside of work, Katie enjoys being outdoors, hiking, biking, and spending time with loved ones.
Karen Shafer
Clinical Cosmetic Specialist
Karen Shafer has been with the Dermatology Center for Skin Health, PLLC for over 10 years and is a lifelong resident of Morgantown. She is highly trained and certified in Coolsculpting, Emsculpt, Laser, Microneedling, Microdermabrasion, Chemical Peels and all aspects of skin care. She finds it very fulfilling to connect with her patients, establish trust, and give personal attention to their skin care needs.
