What is Psoriasis?
A persistent skin disorder than causes red thickened areas most often on the head, elbows, knees, and lower back.
Psoriasis is NOT contagious; however it is common in members of the same family. The cause is unknown, however recent studies have found it link to white cells. An inflammation causes the skin to react and grow too rapidly. On average, our skin replaces itself every 30 days with psoriasis the skin replaces itself much sooner (every 3-4 days).
Treatment for Psoriasis
Treatment for psoriasis various from patient to patient and can include types of lotions and creams containing cortisone.
